QuizMaster™ Software

The QuizMaster™ is a software program that can be used by quizzers, coaches, and tournament directors.

However, each person using the program must have a license. To purchase a license, you can do so by clicking this link.

The QuizMaster™ is free to download and try for 10 days. To unlock the software past that point you will need a license code. This license code can be entered into the program to make available its features.

To generate your license code, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Licenses page.
  2. If you have not already signed in to your account, you should do so now by clicking the sign in button.
  3. After signing in, you will be presented with a table of all of the QuizMaster™ license that you have purchased.
  4. Ener the first name, last name, and role of the licensee, then click Generate License. You will now have an 8-character code to use in your QuizMaster software.

If you purchased licenses for your quizzers, you will want to give them their code to unlock the software.

Note: The spelling of the first name is used to generate the license code. Make sure to use this same name when using the QuizMaster™.

Currently, the QuizMaster™ runs only on Windows computers. However, we are currently developing a new version of the software that will run on Windows, mac, iOS phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, and Linux machines.

"Yes" and "No."

"Yes," you can print questions to read to your team at quiz practices. This is the primary use of the QuizMaster™ for coaching.

"No," you can't pass out copies of the Quizmaster™ questions that you have generated to your quizzers unless they too have a QuizMaster™ license. However, if they do have their own license for home study, then you are certainly free to pass out printed sets or lists of questions.

MatchMaker™ Quiz Equipment

The equipment you need will depend upon the style of quizzing you partipate in. Jumpseat programs use our VersaPad™ switches, while our handheld and tabletop switches are often used interchangably.

A complete equipment setup is composed of the following:

  • Laptop computer with our NextGEN™ software installed
  • MatchMaker USB Interface
  • One VersaConnect™ for each team
  • Switches for each quizzer plugged in to that team's VersaConnect™

In order to get the most out of your equipment and ensure that it provides years of useful life, please exercise the following practices:

  • Extreme temperatures. Your MatchMaker™ equipment performs best when kept at room temperature. Do not leave it in a hot (or cold) vehicle for extended periods of time, or any place that can experience extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid abuse. Do not step on the equipment. Do not throw the equipment. Do not twist the wires. Be gentle and treat with care. Since teens can be rough on equipment, we recommend that an adult supervise setup and teardown.
  • Use Velcro strap when storing. Many of the products come with a Velcro strap for storage. Please use these. While it may be tempting to wrap the VersaPad™ cable around the pad in order to save a few seconds when storing, this can put stress on the wires and cause them to break.
  • Plugs and connectors. Don't force a plug into a connector if it experiences resistance; doing so can bend or break pins on a plug.
  • Keep dry. The equipment must be kept dry and may fail if exposed to moisture. Don't use in wet conditions (e.g. outside in a rainstorm or while swimming).

Our MatchMaker™ line of quiz equpment is warranteed against manufacturing defects for the period of one year from the date of purchase. The following are not covered:

  • Broken or damaged RCA connectors on VersaPads™, handheld switches, or tabletop switches as a result of inappropriate insertion and removal from the VersaConnect™ box. The pins on the RCA connector can be broken when forced into the VersaConnect™ receptacle, or carelessly removed. Quizzers sometimes like to play with the connector and will twist it back and forth in the connector, causing the metal to delaminate from the plug. 
  • VersaPad™ plugs broken or damaged from having been stepped on. This is usually caused when a VersaConnect™ is placed too closely to a quizzer's seat rather than behind the team's row of seats. We recommend using the 25-foot VersaConnects™ when using VersaPads™ to avoid this issue because it is long enough to easily reach the quizmaster table and the rear of each competing team's seats.
  • Broken wires caused by incorrect storage procedures (see "Care of Equipment" below). This usually manifests itself near the junction of a wire and its terminating unit. For example, the VersaPads have a wire that joins the pad at the blue cover. It is this point that gets the most stress. Correct care of the VersaPad when storing can eliminate most of issues.
  • Any other damage caused by abuse or neglect.

Digital Products

Digital products have the following benefits:

  • Immediate availability. You can download the product immediately after purchase, not having to wait for the item to be shipped.
  • Convenience. A digital product can be used on your phone or on your computer and can go wherever you are.
  • Reduced cost. Our digital products are priced lower than our print products because it saves us money to produce them. We don't have to print and maintain inventory, so we pass that savings on to you. 
  • No Shipping. For international customers, shipping is a large part of the cost of ordering a product, and shipping can take a long time as products pass through international customs. Digital products bypass all of that.

When you purchase a digital product, you will receive the product in one of the following forms:

  • MP3. Our audio products are delivered in MP3 format. They can be downloaded to your phone or computer for easy listening.
  • MP4. Our movies are delivered in MP4 format. This allows use on phone or computer.
  • PDF. Some of our products are delivered in Portable Document Format. For example, this is the ideal format for our Review Activities. Just download and open them up in your PDF viewer or browser and you can print them for practices.
  • ePub. Some of our products are more suited to an e-book format for use in physical or software e-readers like Kindle or eBook.

Digital products have the following rights and restrictions:

Rights

  • You may download your product as many times as you need.
  • There is no limit on the number of personal devices that you may install on, subject to the restrictions below.

Restrictions

  • You may not share your purchased product with others. The rule is "One product — one person."
  • You may not sell, or give away, our digital products.
  • You may not return digital products for refund.

Exceptions

  • Some products may be printed and given to your local team. An example is our Review Activities. You may print them out and give them to your local team, but it must be only your local church quizzers.

Shipping & Returns

ACME Quiz Products ships to all US and Canada locations, as well as other select parts of the world. If you require international (non-US) shipping and your destination is not showing as a valid address, please reach out to us and we will attempt to accommodate your request. Note: International orders may not be returned for refund.

Most orders placed by 5pm eastern time will be shipped by the next business day. Exceptions to this are for equipment orders, which typically take one week from the order date to ship. If a combined material and equipment order is made, you will be prompted at checkout to select a shipping method for the material portion of the order and a second method for the equipment.

Free shipping is offered for all material orders exceeding $99 USD. Excluded from this offer is quiz equipment. If you order both material (and that portion of the order exceeds $99 USD) and quiz equipment, you will be offered free shipping for the material but must select a second shipping method for the equipment. If, in our estimation, the equipment will arrive before the material (because it may have been shipped using the free economy method), we may, at our discretion, combine both orders into one shipment and ship using the equipment shipping method.

Material in unused, re-sellable condition may be returned within 30 days of purchase at the buyer's expense. Before doing so, please reach out to ACME Quiz Products to receive a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Returns received without an RMA will not be accepted.

Upon receipt of items in unused, re-sellable condition, a refund will be credited to the buyer's original form of payment within seven days.

We do not accept returns for the following:

  • Digital products
  • Software licenses
  • International orders

If you qualified for and chose free shipping and the return reduces the total purchase to less than $99 USD, then shipping will be charged to the order and the refund will be reduced by the amount of the free shipping fee.
